Follow these simple instructions to measure your window

Please print this page and take it with you to your window.

For accuracy, your curtain pole or track should be installed before measuring. Please measure in metric (cm). It is important to decide where you want your curtains to finish. Allow 1cm clearance above a radiator or carpet, at least 8cm below the window sill so it hangs lower. You could even add additional 5cm on the floor to give a ‘Puddled’ look.

Measuring for a window with a Curtain Pole

Width A is the length of pole.
Measure between the decorative ends of your curtain pole in centimetres as shown by the dotted red lines.

Drop B is the curtain drop.
Please ensure the pole is level. The drop is measured from the base of the hook on the curtain pole to either the floor or below the window sill.

Measuring for a window with a Rail or Track

Width A is the length of rail required.
Measure the length of the curtain rail from end to end.

Drop B is the curtain drop.
Please ensure the track is level. Measure the distance from the top of rail to floor or below window sill. We allow as standard 5cm from the top of the rail to the hook.

Measuring for a window with a Blind

Measuring a window for an Outside Roman Blind
Measure the window as shown by (A) and (B). Allow extra in the height and width. We would suggest approximately 5cm extra width and 8cm extra height.

Measuring a window for an Inside Roman Blind
If the blind is positioned within the window recess, measure the internal window width and height as shown by (1) and (2) in the diagram. We will reduce this size by 15mm to allow clearance
